Editorial Pick of the Moment: NO Magazine #9 - 'I'm The Most Boring Twenty Year Old You'll Ever Meet'

No9sqThe sheer weight and volume of the latest NO magazine (#9 - Reinvention) is testament to its status in New Zealand as a coveted and much-needed pillar of the fashion media.

With such a solid team behind each issue it's no wonder we had trouble picking a favourite editorial spread to feature, and to be honest there should be several shoots documented here: the Jeremy Scott shoot, the shoot by Kiwi boy Rene Vaile (now based in Sydney), Zara's shoot with Zippy and Jordan... the list goes on.

Pink Streak

pinkThere are various '80s fashion trends rolling around at the moment (strong shoulders, sequins and of course, the harem pant) and it seems that the beauty world has also decided to follow suit in the form of hair streaking.  But before you say 'Gracie...streaks are nothing new!'  - I'm not talking your standard highlights and lowlights.  No. Instead, think pink! Everything from soft bubblegum pink to bright neon pink - you'll soon be seeing it walking out of a hair salon near you.

Editorial Pick Of The Moment: 1am - So Posey

1am_130The last 18 months has been a fickle time for New Zealand's fashion media and none have felt the ups and downs more than 1am.  The magazine launched with much fanfare in April 2008 and has changed forms and morphed into a successful online publication since, all the while remaining tue to its raw and honest depiction of contemporary fashion.

Now 1am returns in the tried and trusted format of print: a staple-bound, A4 sized mag that embraces and celebarates New Zealand fashion and models.
